Our Privacy Commitment
We take your privacy seriously. Token Monitor is designed to track usage metadata only. We strictly do not collect, store, or process the content of your AI conversations, prompts, or code.
What We Collect
We only collect specific technical metadata required for analytics:
- Account Info: Name, email, and avatar from your OAuth provider (GitHub/Google).
- Usage Metrics: Token counts (prompt, completion, total).
- Model Info: Model names (e.g., "gpt-4", "claude-3") and provider names.
- Performance: Request latency (response time) and timestamps.
- Technical Logs: IP addresses for rate limiting and security auditing.
What We NEVER Collect
To ensure your data confidentiality, we do not access or store:
- Your prompt text or inputs.
- AI generated responses or outputs.
- File contents or code snippets.
- Conversation history.
- Any personally identifiable information within your chats.
How We Use Your Data
The metadata we collect is used solely to provide you with the Token Monitor dashboard services:
- Visualizing your token usage and costs over time.
- Sending budget alerts when you approach your set limits.
- Identifying which models or providers are costing you the most.
- Improving the performance and stability of our service.
Data Security & Storage
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Your API keys are hashed using bcrypt before being stored, meaning even we cannot see your raw API keys. All data transmission occurs over secure SSL/TLS encrypted connections.
Our database is hosted on Supabase (PostgreSQL), which provides robust security and compliance features.
